Hey, I’m Cam…
For those of you that don’t know me, I’m mostly known for my involvement with Monsta Surf, but I'll tell you a little about myself.
I’m 22. I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia.
I was in the middle of completing a commerce degree at uni but decided to drop out to pursue my real passion.
Just over three years ago a dream was born to start a surf brand. I began making surf boards as a hobby out of my backyard. My partner Erin starting sketching some ideas for a logo and we came up with the name Monsta. The movement really just started from there. Don’t ask me why we called it Monsta, but it sounded good at the time.
Over the past three years Monsta has grown rapidly, far beyond what I could have even imagined. Since making my first board we have now ventured into a full clothing line offering both a mens and women range along with accessories and of course, the boards. I’ve spoken a bit more about the Monsta Surf story here in my bio.
I feel really blessed to be doing what I’m doing today. What started as an idea and a hobby has grown to be an international surf brand with a tribe of passionate followers.
I’m so privileged to be a part of this. On a daily basis I get to interact with many people through the brand office as well as social media which our reach has grown to over 50,000 followers.
Why am I writing this blog and talking with you today!? Well, the message behind Monsta is to inspire people to live passionately and this is a great opportunity for me to unpack what that really means. I’m hoping that what you see regularly on this blog and my website challenges and inspires you to live passionately and pursue your biggest dreams.
The month ahead for me is going to be crazy. I’m going to be bringing you updates from on the run as I travel to Indonesia for a month. I’m taking some of the Monsta crew with me and we’ll be spending some time filming content and capturing photos for our summer campaigns and new range due to hit the site soon. I can’t wait to share this with you all.
Can I encourage you to stay connected, drop me a line, say hi - I’d love to hear from you.
I plan on sharing my thoughts with you quite regularly and upload inspiring photos and content on this page - all to encourage you to live passionately.
In the meantime, thanks for taking the time to checkout this page and for your support.
